Day by day program outline
Arrival at your accommodation during the day. Overnight.
Gaveena's local fellows will take you on a 4x4 car along country roads for an amazing day in Gallura, the scenographic area overlooking Costa Smeralda. The sides of Monte Pino offer breathtaking panoramic spots where to admire powerful colors and fascinating shapes created by mediterranean nature. Beneath these natural granite scupltures San Pantaleo will let you breath the cosy atmosphere of a traditional galluran village that has inspired several artists.
Another surprisingly rich side of our island is related to archaeology since hundreds of prehistorical sites are spread all over the territory; today we'll have the chance to visit the most important in north-east: Coddu Ecchju tombs and La Prisgiona nuragic village, both dated between 18 to 15 centuries b.C.
As usual we pay attention to your need of good flavours, so during the excursion your hunger will be duly fought by an informal lunch with tasty local products (duration 6/7 hours). Overnight.
A soft trekking day with friendly Gaveena's team will take you in the spectacular heart of Gallura, between intense scents, rich flora and massive granite sceneries amazingly sculpted by nature. Here the iconic Vermentino white wine has been produced for ages and of course you will have the opportunity to taste it in a local wineyard, together with some bites of pecorino cheese, ham and sausages (duration 5/6 hours). Overnight.
Please note that trekking excursions included in this program require a reasonable level of fitness and good quality trekking shoes; the program is not suitable for children.
