Day by day program outline
In the morning arrival at your accommodation. During the afternoon Gaveena's smily fellows will be with you while joining the daily activities of a local farm; here you will learn about sheep herding, shepherds life and traditions and learn how pecorino cheese is produced following ancient rituals. Of course an important part of your visit will be devoted to enjoy the delicious results of this hard work (duration 3/4 hours). Rest of the day at leisure to discover the unique romantic atmosphere in Alghero old town. Overnight.
Get ready for an active and panoramic day along the scenic coast surrounding Alghero. Your easy hiking path will take you to admire stunning views on massive rocky cliffs, secluded bays and wide natural areas while intense Mediterranean scents will please your senses. During the excursion, enjoy a picnic lunch made with ham, cheese and other delicious local products (duration 6/7 hours). Evening at leisure and overnight.
The wide coastal plain surrounding in north-west Sardinia offers a perfect climate for vine growing and some of the best sardinian wines are produced here. Your local mates will open the doors of a local wine cellar, where you will get deep into wine history and production while tasting Cannonau and Vermentino, surely the most famous sardinian wines appreciated worldwide.
